Big Finish Podcast Notes and Misc News Roundup Thread

Naaah, you make up for it by being extremely British. So there’s a balance :winking_face_with_tongue:

To be fair, I think there’s a big difference between not drinking them (I know lots of people for whom this is the case) and never having tried them, which in the UK is far less likely. Because when people hear you’ve not tried them, they really try to ram them down your throat.

Podcast Notes

  • Nothing of note this week.

Random Tangents: Benji an others took Nick Briggs to Aldbourne (the filming location for The Dæmons) for his birthday. The locals very much embrace the Doctor Who connection, and their bins are shaped like TARDISes and Daleks. The local pub asked Nick to record a video in front of a Dalek bin for their social media.

Production Interviews: The Third Doctor Adventures: The Planet Killers by Jez Fielder (they actually put a spoiler warning before this one)

Fifteen Minute Drama Tease: The Audio Novels: The Missing Hour by Simon Guerrier and Fio Trethewey

Randomoid Selectotron: 25% off a random Big Finish release every week! Just click on this link and enter the code BUCKUP. There are currently technical issues with the Randomoid Selectotron, so it will be stuck on the last release from the 26 June podcast for the foreseeable future. This release is The Companion Chronicles: 7.6 The Child.

    • Synopsis: When Jackie was a little girl, her mum used to tell her that if she didn’t behave, she’d leave Jackie out for the Rag Man, and he’d take her away with all the other rubbish. A silly story. Except now the Rag Man has come back again, his filthy cart resting in the middle of the Powell Estate, a cloud of flies buzzing in his wake. And he’s coming to take everything Rose and Jackie have ever loved.

@ItsR0b0tNinja I always look forward to your round-ups. So useful. Thank you.

EDIT: @ItsR0b0tNinja gracefully pointed out that @JakeM917 writes the round-ups. I thank them both.

Thanks, but I don’t make them. They are made by @JakeM917 who posts them on Reddit, and I just post them here. I take no credit at all for it. They do the hard work and I just click ctrl-c, ctrl-v.
