Nick Briggs: Right, thank you Chris. It’s a tricky one. I know what you mean, it kind of… It creates a kind of hiccup but the trouble is that it’s a very low selling range. But we do love it and it’s just the difference between it um… making enough money to cover its costs and not and the see… you know, we took the CD costs off and then the budget made sense so it was purely for economic reasons. So sorry about that, I know you’re probably thinking “Oh, surely it can’t make that much of a difference,” but it really does uh, yeah, sorry about that, uh, no, sincerely, sorry. Menzies is one of those characters that fans, for a period of time, desperately wanted as a permanent companion in the audios. I’ll be honest and say, although I liked her well enough, I never saw the appeal that much. Although, that said I’d have rather her as a companion than Mary Shelley.

It’s worth it just for the opening dream sequence and Interrogator General Leela alone… But for serious the two middle episodes, Disassembled and Annihilation are two of my favourite stories of all time. And not just because I’m in love with Leela. though that does factor in…

I’ve got that outtake saved and listen to it whenever I really need a quick pick-me-up. Favourite thing about all of Gallifrey and it’s not even in the actual series. Never, ever fails to make me feel better

I agree she works better as a “that’s a pity we could never match our schedules, isn’t it?” companion-who-never-was role. Would be down for more DiMenzies anyway. I hope she pops up in a Flip/Constance story whenever we get them back.

I think they said somehere they have their release schedule planned for the next 3 years (cant remember where I saw that mind so may be misremembering). Plus we know theyve started making more 4, 6, and 7 stories to prepare for the worst.
With 4s back catalogue being from 2018 this year, theoretically they could have stories (for the fourth Doctor) ready for 2032.
