What about episodes like The Smugglers or The Highlanders where there isn’t anything?

There’s reconstructions out there, they just aren’t always very good (simply due to available material) and they can be hard or impossible to find legally. But you could also go for the TV soundtracks, they often have some linking narration too, to explain what’s going on on screen

The Loose Cannon recons are out there as well as the official BBC soundtracks.
There are also the telesnaps collected in a couple of DWM specials.
And the BBC ‘photonovels’ are still available:

Finally finished my Colin rewatch, I don’t think I’ll focus on a specific Doctor for a bit, reckon I’ll just pick whatever takes my fancy or finally get round to some loose canon reconstructions…
