Audio Club Extra: The Plague Herds of Excelis

The final Part of the Exceli Saga and I am not surprised that I didn´t like it too. I think I haven’t made a Secret that after the first one, they kinda went downhill for me and this is sadly no different.
I LOVE Katy and Lisa’s Interactions here, they are really lovely and the Idea of it is fairly solid, but sadly nothing sticks out. There are some nice Bits here and there, but the Execution of it all doesn’t do much for me.
I think it speaks for itself that I have a hard time to recall a lot of it, despite having listened to it fairly recently. It’s just kinda meh and disappointing to me if I am being perfectly honest. Competent, yes, but less memorable besides the great Interactions between Iris & Benny.

Guess this Story Arc just wasn’t for me at all.

This was alright. Benny and Iris were really fun together, and I have to admit I didn’t expect a siege of zombie plague animals.

This one was better than the second and third parts, and a little worse than the first.

Everyone above me has put it better but I do also feel like you could listen to parts 1 and 4, and skip the rest.

I enjoyed Benny and Iris’s banter, especially at the end when Iris revealed herself. Fun!

'Know him? I’ve ‘ad him!’. Love Iris in this one!

Iris and Benny are a great duo. This one feels very disconnected from the other 3 stories in this set, but I do like how they find loose ends from the first 3 parts that I’d forgotten about and finish them.

I enjoyed Benny and Iris a lot. They were a fun duo. The story was okay but those two were the highlight for me.

I listened to Excelis ages ago, but not this part. Relistening now and it’s defiantly as series defined by just being there. Thanks to the VNAs I actually care about Benny now, but Iris was always just annoying in the two other stories I’ve heard her in. At least hear she gave signs that she could actually be something when I eventually meet her properly in the books, but that’s a long ways off. As is she still doesn’t really stand out to me as anything

I love Iris, I love Benny and they play off each other absolutely wonderfully. This one is just pure fun

It’s weirdly encouraging seeing you go on the same emotional journey I did with Excelis.

A rather uninteresting story that is somewhat redeemed by Lisa Bowerman and Katy Manning. My review below.
