Basically, the assassin was possessed by the creepy time anomaly baby thing, and it was trying to possess Romana because she’s technically an anomaly while ‘Romana I’ is roaming around (even though she’s technically Pandora. Who wants to possess Romana ii also). All you really need to take away is that there’s a creepy time baby thing in that anomaly vault who really wants a little friend to possess. And it kind of screwed with Romana’s head. It will be relevant a bit later on but not quite yet
I’ve noticed that a lot of Gallifrey stories have quite packed and convoluted third acts, so it can be challenging to follow the conclusions if one’s head isn’t completely in the game.
Yeah, that’s why I’ve been listening to them twice every week, I feel like sometimes I can only really follow the plot twists on a second listen with some of them (and of course, they’re a lot of fun, otherwise I’d just read the wiki afterwards). I also feel like, for me, taking notes during listening has been really helpful for this.
I figured I should also listen to all of it again soon, because knowing all the twists and turns now make sit eaasier to follow the plots of the earlier stories.
I did read the wiki afterwards but it was still a bit confusing lol.
Thanks for the summary @sircarolyn that was very useful!!
No problemo, and if it’s any comfort it took me several listens before I finally understood it properly. It is one of the issues with this series that it likes to overcomplicate itself sometimes
