I liked him as the show went on but when he finally showed just how dedicated he was to his role; even willing to potentially sacrifice himself for a president he personally despise because allegiance or politics be damned, he takes value in his work and his loyalty, it’s hard to not fully feel endeared to him

You seeeeee!! The exact moment that Narvin turns from ‘ugh that guy’ to ‘aw, that guy’ is when he runs to warn Romana about the bomb and promptly gets blown up. It’s a big moment for him in a big episode. What an episode it is!!

YAY BLOW THAT MAN UP!!! The way Narvin runs straight to Romana knowing about the plot to undermine her just to get exploded and dedicate his loyalty for the rest of time. this series makes me soooo crazzyyyyyy

IMPERIATRIX!! One of my all-time top Gallifrey episodes! And one of the most Narvin stories. This is where we really get to see him. And, because I have been keeping a list of how Narvin calls Romana [1], I now know that this is where he first calls her Romana to her face:
NARVIN: [Breathing shakily; pained] Madam President? Romana… I- I gave her the codes. She used them against me… I’m sorry. I’ve always been loyal to your office, despite everything. Darkel is planning a coup.
Which I will be going insane about now. Imperiatrix truly has it all. Pandora, Romana losing it, Leela grieving, K-9!! I love this series

Also, with the current lore of the TV show, one could say that imperiatrix actually has the first instance of a bigeneration. I’m not sure if I like that but it is an interesting thought either way
