No controversial opinions from me here, an excellent set up that devolves into generic Nick Briggs robot shenanigans and an anticlimax of an ending.
Wouldn’t go out of my way to relisten.

Listened to this today to try to get up to date with the Audio Club.
Really strong first couple of parts with really good atmosphere, it was just the right level of creepy. India Fisher really was delivering in this one.
But around the halfway point the story looses it’s direction and sort of fizzles out a bit. But the character stuff between the Doctor and Charley is really well done
A 3,5/5 from me

I really love this one, admittedly it’s been a while since I listen to that one, but I remember it quite well. I adore the atmosphere presented here, and I am surprised how graphic it became (just the Parts with their Eyes does give me a bit of an unease, when I first listen to it).
I think this Story gets a bit weaker around the end, perhaps the first two are just SO good, compared to those, the other two feel a little less, I suppose? Yet another one that uses the Audio Medium so well, some may say it even embrace it. The Performances are all well done, and I like how claustrophobic it all felt. India was probably the standout here. Overall excellent.
I’m tired of Orllensa already.
A solid little story. Not the best in the world, but no bad by any stretch of the imagination. Kinda forgettable, but solid nonetheless.
3.5/5
Yeah, I enjoy it well enough while listening, but forget most of it after I finish.
I think Embrace the Darkness is a solid, creepy listen. The cliffhanger to part one is really great. One of Nicholas Briggs better Doctor Who scripts, and one of my favourite Eight and Charley adventures. I’ve started relistening a couple of times over the years but rarely finish, but I always enjoy this one.
the fact that no one is really evil or a villain either is great too!
