Asexuality in the Whoniverse

I don’t think it disproves it at all. Asexual people can have sex just like anyone else. You don’t need to be attracted to people to do it. In fact, I highly doubt most people who participate in orgies are attracted to everyone involved.

How does this work? It’s the first time I’ve heard of such an idea :eyes:

Basically, when you don’t know what sexual attraction feels like it’s very easy to mistake platonic or aesthetic attraction for sexual. Comphet is extremely common amongst ace and aro people. When you’re surrounded by other queer people but asexuality is still rarely talked about it’s very easy to slip into this idea. After all, both asexuality and pan/bisexuality are defined by being attracted to multiple/all genders equally; it’s just that that “equal” line for ace people is at 0.

Thanx! This is interesting

To further complicate things, sexual attraction and romantic attraction are different things, and it’s totally possible to be asexual and not aromantic or vice-versa, though there are plenty of people that are both.

There are even more shades of grey, too. There’s a reason there are a ton of different terms out there for different spots on the spectrum…

I vaguely remember something from a Diary of River Song set.

Could you be thinking of the Ninth Doctor Adventures boxset Star-Crossed, featuring River Song?

No, I didn’t get that set. I think it’s an Auton story in the latter Diary of River Song sets. I know there’s a shopping centre in it. 80% sure. The only Ninth Doctor set I have was the one with Liv and Tanya.

Has to be, unless there’s another overly specific shopping centre one.
