Are There Any Songs That Remind You of Doctor Who/Doctor Who Characters?

100%. The other Bowie song that always makes me think of them is Changes. I was so excited when they finally used it in a trailer for season 1!

Well, just rewatched the second part of End of Time and got to say that the 10th near the end (just for a moment) reminded me of song hey now by Kendrick Lamar:

(https://open.spotify.com/track/5S8VwnB4sLi6W0lYTWYylu). Especially the part where they go like ‘I’m way too important’

If anybody is interested, there’s also Tyler, The Creator remix to the same instrumental:

Ooh I love Regina Spektor. I hadn’t heard this one before but it’s totally perfect! Another one by her that kind of reminds me of the doctor is One More Time With Feeling.

This song reminds me specifically of Torchwood One due to the music sounding exactly like the music that plays in Army of Ghosts during the Ghost Shift. The references to “I remember nothing” being retcon, and Immortal Love could be meaning Jack Harkness if you squint.

Though the song is just about vampires. But the music says it’s Torchwood so I’m conflicted.

This song more specifically reminds me of Torchwood Disco. And is made by a different artist. Idk what the genre is called but I love it.

“I choose death, not forgiveness” and “between the tracks, I look at you to see what was lost.”

I think the title indicates that the band was reminded of Doctor Who with this song. (Tom Baker)

This song reminds me of Autons:

I can’t sing “Shivers” by Ed Sheeran without pronouncing Shivers in the same way David Tennant pronounced “shimmer” the second time in The End of Time.

I am not happy about this…

So a completely fine Doctor Who episode has ruined a completely fine pop song for you? We live in a wild world

This makes it sound like you sing Shivers regularly, are you Ed Sheeran???

Wouldn’t that be a good twist though?

That particular song might feature quite prominently on my go-to playlist at the moment…

Well, that would be Klaus Nomi, who was a quite out there musician. He did perform with David Bowie at one point, but I we also have a forum member with Klaus Nomi as his avatar, so likely from there.

He had an operatic voice and was quite talented, but his songs are out there enough that there are plenty of people that don’t particularly care for it. He also died at 39 of aids, so didn’t have the largest library of music to his name…

I think the Master would’ve looked even better if he had been wearing those pants in Power of the Doctor. Also, the :eyes: emoji fits so well as I just envision the Dalek and Cyberman looking at each other and shrugging.

I think a lot Philip Glass’ music is very ‘Doctor Who.’ I especially think this song would work great as a theme for an incarnation of the Doctor:

Complete with psychedelic, time-vortex-esq visuals!
