Not in great depth, but I’d love for the Doctor to open up about their post-mind wipe childhood, and clarify whether he knew that his parents were his adoptive or foster parents, or if they had lied to the Doctor and told him that they were his birth parents.
The latter has big implications, as it’d mean that the Doctor’s parents were liars and in league with Tecteun as she would’ve given the Doctor to them and instructed them to lie to the Doctor about his origins.
But then it’s possible, considering the episode Listen, that the Doctor was left by Tecteun in a children’s home, and subsequently fostered or adopted by a family.

Here’s a sneak peek of a Dr Who edit I’m making titled Left, Found, Adopted, about the Doctor’s abandonment & separation issues as an adoptee, I hope you enjoy what I’ve done so far. This is made with lived experience of these issues because for those who don’t know I’m an adoptee too.

I’m always thinking of new things to add, which is that some people have said that the Doctor isn’t adopted because Tecteun kidnapped them, but that doesn’t mean it’s not adoption because generally adoption means a single person or couple taking a child or children in and raising them. Plus, forced adoption happens in real life. From the 40s-70s, pregnant women who were young and unwed would have their babies taken from them and adopted by a family due to the societal stigma of women having babies out of wedlock, which was kidnapping because there was no actual reason for their babies to have been removed. If they were given the help and support they could’ve kept their children. And the adoption system in the U.S, with there being private for-profit adoption agencies, parents in low-come situations can be easily coerced into relinquishing their babies for adoption by these agencies, when they either just need financial support or have one of their family members look after their child through kinship care.
